What you can expect in a day in the role:

As a Head Chef, along with encouraging teamwork and a safe working environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Day to Day operations of the Kitchen
  • Lead the Kitchen team with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Food preparation, and menu planning
  • Maintaining COGS, ordering, and inventory
  • Rostering and budgeting
  • Training and development of new and current staff

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

As our Head Chef, you will bring a positive attitude and team approach to our kitchen. You will also have:

  • A trade qualification in commercial cookery (Cert III or Cert IV in commercial cookery)
  • Advanced computer literacy, in particular, experience using software to order and cost goods, maintain stock control, and develop employee rosters
  • A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including split shifts, across a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
