What you can expect in a day in the role:

As a Gardening Supervisor, you will help lead and organise a small team in day-to-day garden and landscape work. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, organizing equipment, working with the greenkeeping team, and planning for both new and established gardens.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and scheduling weekly, monthly, and seasonal goals
  • Training and mentoring team members
  • Assisting with landscape design and management
  • Supervising and overseeing staff to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Being hands-on with landscaping and grounds work

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

Along with management experience and knowledge of landscaping techniques, you will also have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture (Required)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Practical experience working in a garden
  • Ability to give clear instructions, provide feedback, and handle issues effectively
  • A genuine interest and knowledge of plant species and gardening techniques

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
