Located as Prospect, just 10 minutes from the Launceston CBD, our stunning property Country Club is seeking a People and Culture Manager to lead end to end people support across all departments.  Reporting to our Group Manager – People and Capability, you will not only be an active participant of the Country Club Executive Team contributing to people strategy across the group, but an important member of the broader People and Culture team across all business units.

You will put your creativity and innovation to use as you craft strategies that will ultimately drive the business to maintain its status as a premium employer in Tasmania and the business’ objective of optimising commerciality.  This role is still incredibly hands on, and your HR operational expertise will be put to use in a broad range of HR areas including; industrial relations, employee relations, organisational competency, workplace safety and the continuation of building a culture of customer centricity.

To succeed you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources or similar discipline
  • 5 years’ experience in either broad HR positions or a variety of specialists HR positions.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and conduct of Industrial Relations and Employee Relations issues including good working knowledge of employee relations legislations and regulations.
  • Problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills, project management skills
  • Exposure to HR practice in a medium to large organisation and knowledge of contemporary HR practices
  • Experience managing a multi-facetted HR function in a diverse business
  • Demonstrated experience in handling and communicating confidential and sensitive material
  • Lead, mentor and develop team members to achieve required skills and to work efficiently
  • Inspire Direction & Purpose, generate support and commitment to team and organisational goals
  • Works collaboratively within own team and across Networks
  • Experience in managing financial resources responsibly
