What you can expect from a day in this role:

As part of our team based in Hobart, you will specialise in commercial upholstery across our tourism and hospitality portfolio of stunning properties including Wrest Point, MacQ01, and Henry Jones. Ideally you would have skills using hand and power tools, sewing machines and overlocker, but most importantly; you will have a basic understanding of mathematics (measure, cut & fit), be keen to learn, and able to fit into our passionate team.  Your expertise will help us enhance a wide variety of high-quality furniture, including: 

• Lounges
• Ottomans
• Custom pieces
• Scatter cushions and bolsters
• Armchairs, chairs, and bar stools

What you will bring to the role

• A trade certificate in Upholstery, ideally with proven experience working as an Upholsterer
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to the highest quality work
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to thrive under pressure and a strong work ethic
